Door-Stop, the UK's leading composite door manufacturer, experienced unprecedented growth in December when it saw 50 new customers place a first order in just one week. Earmarked by the Sunday Telegraph as one of Britain's Brightest Businesses, Door-Stop usually attracts around 20 to 25 new customers every week, but this number doubled to 50 in the week ending 15th December 2011.
Since early November, there has been a steady weekly increase in new customers. Managing Director Nick Dutton observes that December is usually Door-Stop's busiest time of year. Nick says "We're able to maintain our unmatched 3 day delivery promise while other composite door manufacturers are experiencing supply problems due to slab shortages."
According to Nick Dutton "In 2011 there was already a 30% increase in the composite door market and we're pleased to be supplying a good percentage of that. To cope with this and the increased demand caused by the latest industry supply issues, our production has risen to over 1500 doors a week."
