02/09/2009 - Buy Green from Door-Stop

Door-Stop proves there is more to "Green" than Window Energy Ratings with its green composite door offering - as standard. We hear so much about environmentally friendly windows in our industry, particularly since the introduction of Window Energy Ratings, but hardly anything about green doors. We didn't want to wait for new legislation or standards to be introduced before customers have the opportunity to sell "green". Being truly green is about more than manufacturing an energy efficient product, which is why we've taken steps to ensure all our composite doors, and the way they are manufactured, are green. Our door profile has always been extruded using calcium zinc and all the foam fill we use is CFC free. The solid unglazed Door-Stop door achieves a U-value of 1.03 while our half glazed door achieves a U-value of 1.46.

We've taken steps to reduce our own carbon footprint too. Not only are Door-Stop doors manufactured in the UK - eliminating the environmental impact of imported products - our direct to site service dramatically reduces our carbon footprint. We are currently working towards ISO14001 to show our continued commitment to our environmental policies.
